GEM es una guía para integrar el análisis de género en las evaluaciones de iniciativas que utilizan las TIC para el cambio social.
GEM brinda un medio para determinar si las TIC están realmente mejorando las vidas de las mujeres y las relaciones de género y si promueven un cambio positivo a nivel individual, institucional, comunitario y social en sentido más amplio.
Esta guía está pensada principalmente para las personas facilitadoras de GEM. La premisa del diseño de esta guía es la de “facilitadora o facilitador abierto a seguir aprendiendo” y refleja los principios de aprendizaje que se incentiva que uses en tu trabajo.
El aprendizaje es un proceso continuo y se asume que cada persona extraerá de la guía lo que necesite, ya sea un enfoque “justo a tiempo” para la realización de talleres específicos o un estudio en profundidad de las técnicas de facilitación y principios de aprendizaje. El contenido está diseñado para adaptarse por igual a facilitadoras y facilitadores con experiencia o sin ella.
